About the Role
As a Research Analyst at DNA Consult, you’ll work on fast, evidence-first projects across technology and industrial sectors. Typical work includes market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM), competitor and pricing scans, Voice of Customer (qual + lean quant), and quick “ready-reckoner” snapshots that help clients decide what to do next.
You’ll collaborate closely with principals and domain experts, synthesize findings into clear narratives, and document assumptions and sources. This role suits someone who enjoys digging into messy information, talking to buyers or experts, and turning it all into crisp slides, tables, and takeaways.
We’re remote-first and async-friendly. Most work is India/GCC; occasional client calls outside core hours may happen.
Responsibilities
Run desk research with a bias for credible, citable sources; maintain a clean source log.
Build driver-based market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM) with assumptions noted.
Draft and field short surveys; support VoC interviews (scheduling, note-taking, synthesis).
Compile competitive and pricing maps; identify corridors and value drivers.
Clean and analyze data in Sheets/Excel; create simple charts/tables that are decision-ready.
Write concise summaries: “what’s true,” “what’s changing,” “so what,” and options/trade-offs.
Prepare slide decks and one-pagers that clients can use with their leadership/board.
Collaborate with principals/SMEs; incorporate feedback quickly and professionally.
Manage tasks and timelines across parallel workstreams; flag risks early.
Uphold confidentiality and research ethics in all interactions.
Requirements
1–3+ years in market research/consulting/strategy, or strong internship/project experience.
Comfortable with secondary research and evaluating source quality.
Solid Sheets/Excel skills (lookups, pivots, basic scenarios) and strong PowerPoint/Slides.
Clear written English; can structure findings into a narrative with evidence.
Confident on calls for note-taking and follow-ups; professional email etiquette.
Organized, responsive, and comfortable working remote with async updates.
Bachelor’s degree (any discipline with strong analytical/communication skills).
Nice to Have
Experience with B2B VoC, expert calls, or short surveys (Typeform/Google Forms/Qualtrics).
Exposure to pricing/WTP methods, cohort/unit economics, or basic financial modeling.
Light SQL/Python or data-viz (Tableau/Data Studio) for analysis/QA.
Familiarity with LLM-assisted research workflows and prompt hygiene.
Sector exposure in tech, industrials, healthcare, or energy.
Slides/storytelling examples or a writing sample.
